The Damasko Company has been manufacturing mechanical wristwatches since 1994. We wanted to write a short review about this manufacturer because not so many pilot watch are “made in Germany”.

On a few forums we noticed that aficionados like to compare Damasko with Sinn and Hanhart, which are also German watchmakers.

We will take soon the time to discuss about Sinn and Hanhart, but for now we want to stay focused on the advantages and available features you can get when purchasing a Damasko Timepiece.

There are several features you can get for a reasonable price compare to any other similar brand on the market.

Damasko pilot watches characteristics

- Non-magnetic EPS hairspring
- Home-made rotor with ceramic ball bearings,
- Ice hardened case including shockproof and antimagnetic.
- A beautiful Bezel finish, which is not so common in this range of price

We did not have the chance yet to review any of their watches, but this is something we will consider to do in a very near future as their watches now represent a technical standard in the industry and available to purchase online.

The mechanical movements are either ETA 2836-2 movement or Valjoux 7750, both with 25 jewels and self-winding mechanism, except for the top models like the Damasko DK-10 built with a Self-manufactured movement Damasko A 35-1

However, it seems (from a few testimonials here and there) that a used Damasko is considerably better value than any equivalent wristwatch you could get with any concurrent brand.
