PORSCHE DESIGN BECOMES ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL BRANDS

HARRODS DEPARTMENT STORE AWARDS PORSCHE DESIGN

The Porsche Design Group (Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG), has been singled out for two awards by the Harrods store in London.

At the annual "Harrods Concession Conference", the company’s Porsche Design luxury brand received the "Exclusive Launch Award" and the "Sales Density Award", awarded to the brand generating the highest sales per square metre in the landmark department store in London’s Knightsbridge district.

"Our luxury brand has been present in the famous Harrods store since July 2011", said Juergen Gessler, CEO of the Porsche Design Group.

"These two awards confirm our strategy of showcasing Porsche Design in a sales area in one of the world’s most exclusive and best-known department stores. We are particularly pleased by the fact that within a period of one year we have managed to work our way up to become the most successful brand in Harrods. We believe this success is due, not least, to our significant increase in floor space since the start of the year, creating a stronger focus for the iconic essence of the products".

The 80 square metre shop-in-shop in Harrods presents the luxury brand’s full product range, from the sports and fashion collection to luggage, eyewear and watches, jewellery, mobile telephones and writing implements.

The highlight of the new shop is the Porsche Design Fashion Collection.

FOR MEN AND WOMEN

Clever innovations, such as the Porsche Design P’1140 Raw Tec Blazer, created without any inner lining thanks to the use of full-grain lamb’s leather which is coated on the inside, create a unique and distinctive look for the collection from the very first glance.
