Talented watchmaker Martin Braun's self-named brand went under as a result of heavy losses in the Franck Muller group.

Having left the Franck Muller Group sometime ago, Martin Braun wanted to do something new.

Legally speaking, he was not able to use his own name again for the brand because it is owned by the Franck Muller Group.

Now with backing from an entrepreneur named Antoine Meier, Martin Braun is back with his new brand called Antoine Martin.

The new brand will focus on making their own movements, but stylistically is said not have any similarities with the original Martin Braun brand.

With his new Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar, Martin Braun seeks to defy gravity with a new interpretation of the flying tourbillon, combined with the perpetual calendar complication.

Martin Braun, Development Director Antoine Martin, chose for his new flying tourbillon watch a technical and aesthetic reasons.

The master watchmaker and his team used all his experience in the field of exhaust and perpetual calendar and remained true to its philosophy of "slow time".

The Tourbillon rotates around its axis once per minute, while the leakage within the carriage vibrates constantly 2,5 Hz, alternations or 18,000 per hour.

Much more peaceful than the 28,800 alternations per hour currently in vogue, but in no way less accurate.

Martin Braun chose silicon as the material for the anchor and escape wheel drive pin, and chose a balance of nickel silver.

A fine adjustment is achieved by two screws made in 18 carat gold, while the tourbillon cage is balanced by two gold rings.

The result is a Tourbillon compound of precisely and 65 parts total weight of 0,62 grams.

The cage has a diameter of 14,10mm surprising, fact that makes it impossible to be noticed.

Another reason why the flurry of Antoine Martin surprising is the fact that Martin Braun positioned very close to the glass.

Among the whirlwind (which also serves as the small seconds) and the glass, there is only enough space to accommodate a thin minute hand.

This required a series of modifications to the design, the end result is a statement in style regulator.

The minutes are shown by the large central hand, while the hours are displayed in an auxiliary dial itself.

The weekday and month are displayed in two vertical windows next to the cycle of leap years in the 12 o'clock position.

The date has a pointer indicator at 3 o'clock.

With this watch, Antoine Martin launches probably one of the largest and most attractive market Tourbillons.

Combined with perpetual calendar, extraordinary number of young Martin Braun brand.
