CLASSIQUE 7027 “La Tradition Breguet”
“La Tradition Breguet” timepiece is an invitation to travel across time… beyond time. It symbolizes both a return to roots and the vision of a brand facing the future. Inspired by a subscription watch, this creation honours one of A.-L. Breguet’s major inventions, the pare-chute, completed in 1790 to protect the balance -staff against shocks.
Crafted in yellow gold, this watch has a new movement designed and produced entirely by the Manufacture and which took four years to develop. The dial and the sapphire-crystal caseback lift the veil on the genius and beauty of the mechanism. The timepiece, of revolutionary design, reveals bridges, wheels, escapement, barrel and other components, which are usually found under the baseplate. An exceptional piece which thus wins the bet of uniting ultra -modernism with tradition: its character of absolute restraint pays vibrant homage to the memory of the brand.
The visual balance, orchestrated by the symmetry of the bridges, is expertly highlighted by refined decorations. The bridges and baseplate are simply shot-blasted using a finishing technique demanding a rare skill that leaves room for no error in evenness and consistency. Juggling with an original style and a new body of technique, this creation means to accompany time with purity and elegance without ever straying from Breguet’s identity and roots.
