It is currently a great complication, but it is very easy to understand and that is its main beauty.

Working regularly, this watch displays time with central hands, while the date is visible on a retrograde display.

Just one press on the pushbutton and 360° retrograde hour and minute hands will take an impossible position and stop moving, without interrupting the precise operation of the mechanism.

Another click will momentary bring time back on your dial, by repositioning hands on the accurate position.

A nice idea that stands behind this superb achievement suggests us to take a break from time to time and enjoy, completely surrendered to the present moment.

Or to mark those moments with special persons, when you simply do not want to think about time.

The sophisticated mechanism that allows this romantic play with time is a self-winding movement thatoscillates at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power-reserve of 42 hours.

The alternation between regular and suspended time is provided by an additional module.

It iscoordinated by two synchronized column wheels, one for hours and the other for minutes and date.

HERMÈS Arceau Time Suspended watch has a 43 mm case crafted in stainless steel(there is also a Limited Edition in rose gold).

A silver dial goes with a brown alligator strap, while a black dial variation matches a black alligator strap.

Beautifully designed dial features radial Breguet numerals that give the watch a special note of stylishness, as well as the retrograde arc that indicates date,located from 7 to 4 o’clock position.

Besides, the dial has a special "time suspended" zone at the 12 o’clock position, which allows you to lock polished skeleton hands.

Thanks to the great name of the haute horology Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, who had helped that this watch finally gets alive.
