Oris new model pays tribute to the Classic Rally Isla Mallorca.

Oris was honoured to be the official time partner and title sponsor of the 2013 Classic Rally Isla Mallorca. An established test in the classic car circuit in Europe. More than 80 cars entered this year, setting a new record in the number of participants, with an even wider variety of vehicles that added colour and excitement to the roads of Mallorca.

To mark its current cooperation with the Classic Rally Isla Mallorca Oris presents a very sporty model:

Calobra is a small village thirty-two miles from Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The picturesque landscape is renowned for its weaving roads, with breathtaking corners, including the infamous "Nus de sa Corbata" which translates as "tie knot". A haven for classic car enthusiasts.

Since 2005, the Classic Rally Isla Mallorca has taken place in the stunning backdrop of Calobra and the surrounding area. Of the total of 14 kilometres, 12 of them are 180 degrees. The circuit has a vertical drop of 900 meters. This spectacular stretch of road is only closed once a year due to the Rally.

To celebrate the new edition of the 2013 Classic Rally Isla Mallorca , Oris presents the Calobra limited edition.

A chronograph with a strongly evocative automobile touch. The steel case is equipped with a bidirectional ceramic rotating bezel with a rubber-coated edge to ensure an optimal grip. The silver-toned inner bezel ring, engraved with a tachometric scale, is directly fixed to the case. The original matt black dial inspired by dashboard counters features a linear small seconds display at 9 o’clock. The back of this limited edition bears an exclusive engraving depicting the famous "tie knot" symbolises the diabolical hairpin curves of the Calobra rally route. The perforated black and red leather strap resolutely evokes the world of classical cars that line up for the rally.
