The Scuderia watch collection from Ferrari Engineered by Officine Panerai is enhanced by two new models, the latest expression of the close alliance between two leading exponents of Made in Italy worldwide: the Ferrari Chronograph Red Dial 45 mm, Steel and the Ferrari Chronograph Yellow Dial 45 mm, Steel Engineered by Officine Panerai.
The Ferrari Chronograph Red Dial 45 mm (FER00028) is a chronograph which combines sportiness and elegance, featuring a polished steel case with brushed steel edges, two screw-down chronograph push pieces and a crown with rims worked in a square grid pattern, a deliberate reference to details from the dashboard controls of a “red dream”. The dial is red with three counters and the tachymeter scale on the rehault allows for calculating average speeds, a testament to the sporting mission of a watch which, even in the name it bears alone, has speed coursing through its veins. The colour of the dials is echoed in the red caiman underside of the black strap. The symbol of the Prancing Horse is engraved on the caseback as well as on the winding crown, and is also applied to the dial together with the Ferrari logo.
The Ferrari Chronograph Yellow Dial 45 mm (FER00034) has the same functions as well as technical and aesthetic features, however with “Modena” yellow replacing the signature Maranello House red in the various coloured elements of the dial and strap.
The high-precision mechanism and details are the result of the finest craftsmanship that Officine Panerai can guarantee in every single model from its luxury horology collections. The automatic mechanical movement (46-hour power reserve) is the calibre Panerai OP XII measuring 13 ¼ lignes in diameter and coming with the Chronometer Certificate (C.O.S.C.). The oscillating weight features Côtes de Genève decoration as well as an engraved image of the Prancing Horse.
The watches from the Scuderia collection, like the brand new Chronograph Red Dial 45 mm and Chronograph Yellow Dial 45 mm, steel, differ in both concept and look from those in the Granturismo series, which correspond to Ferrari’s road automobiles. The link between road cars and racing cars is immediately called to mind by the Horse symbol featured on the dial: in fact, the watches inspired by Ferrari racing bear the shield-shaped logo.
